Thanks for sharing, Zsofi. I feel that rejection hurts more when I am in dire need of a project and may be thinking of just paying the monthly bills. I have also realised that the best way to get a client is to seek opportunities where I can support them without asking anything in return. Most of these clients have become my long-term clients.

I agree, it's easier to take a rejection when you don't have a huge stake in it financially. That said, I think when we focus too much on our personal value vs the value of our service, that's when we can get into emotional trouble. At least this is how I have experienced it in the past. Good point about supporting them, although I'm not sure I understand not asking anything in return. What do you mean by that? You are still asking for payment, no?

I was specifically referring to cases when I just saw a post on LinkedIn about a issue someone is facing and suggested them possible solution. I got 2 of my clients like that. They further asked for a paid project after the support I extended to them.

For these I used Sketchbook pro. It’s an iPad app. These days I also use Procreate a lot.
